On September 11th, 1999, South Texas Pintos will proudly sponsor The Lone Star Classic Breeder’s Futurity at Guadalupe County Fairgrounds, Seguin, Texas. Now in its ninth year of existence the Lone Star Classic is without a doubt the highest paying Pinto Futurity in our state and one of the largest in the nation. It is the only breeder’s futurity for pinto horses in this area.

Pinto offers something for everyone and so does the Lone Star Classic – a weanling breeder’s division, amateur weanling division (non-breeders) as well as yearling halter and yearling longe line. Traditionally, we have added $2,000. to the purse each year and offer a separate stallion purse in the breeder’s division payable to each sire of each weanling breeder’s futurity class.

Amateur Halter Weanling Stock/Hunter Stallions & Geldings
Amateur Halter Weanling Pleasure/Saddle – *All sexes
Stock/Hunter Halter Yearling Mares
Stock/Hunter Halter Yearling Stallions & Geldings
Pleasure/Saddle Halter Yearlings – *All sexes
Breed Stock Halter Yearlings – *All Types & sexes
Yearling Longe Line - *All types & sexes
Breeding Stock Yearling Longe Line - *All types & sexes

It will be, once again, triple judged and PtHA-ROM approved. Payout is determined by the horse’s overall placing. It is not necessary for the sire or dam to be PtHA registered or pinto colored. However, the sire must be listed and the dam nominated by January 31st to be eligible for the breeder’s division.

The Lone Star Classic Futurity Rules and Regulations and Entry forms are attached, you may photocopy as many as needed. Please read them carefully and note entry deadlines.
